Hoosier Voices for I-69 & C-LINK

Over the past decade, amazing regional support has guided the Interstate 69 project through a lengthy process and the end is in sight.  This highway will truly benefit future generations and the entire state of Indiana by spurring new economic development and creating desirable, good paying jobs for Hoosier citizens.

Since the historic groundbreaking in 2009, work on the Interstate 69 extension has continued at an accelerated pace with the intent of completing roadway from Evansville to the Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) by the end of 2012 and Bloomington by 2014.

To compare nationally, the Interstate 69 extension in Indiana will be the largest transportation construction project underway in the United States, with 65 miles of roadway being built in Sections 1-3.

Even with this good news, our ultimate goal remains of completing all six Sections, as well as a new bridge over the Ohio River.

Starting in 2011, the Hoosier Voices for I-69 coalition partnered with the Chamber Leadership Initiative of Northwest Kentucky (C-LINK) in a joint advocacy effort on the federal level to support of a new bridge that would connect our states.  Our organizations were very pleased to retain the services of Dennis Faulkenberg and Laurie Maudlin of Appian Advisors, who bring a substantial resume of experience and connections in the transportation industry.
