City-County Unification Meeting

Event Description --
Important meeting related to the proposed reorganization of Evansville and Vanderburgh County into one metro form of government. Proponents of unified local government should attend and be prepared to speak on behalf of unification. Our elected leaders need to hear our voices of support!

Mayoral Candidate Breakfast

Event Description --
Join Evansville's 2011 mayoral candidates, Mr. Rick Davis and Mr. Lloyd Winnecke, for a joint appearance at The Chamber's 2011 Mayoral Candidate Breakfast on Thursday, September 8 at 7:30 a.m. at Casino Aztar's Executive Conference Center.

The program is sponsored by Old National Bank and will feature Mizell Stewart, editor of the Evansville Courier & Press, who will serve as the master of ceremonies to facilitate questions from the audience and input based on The Chamber's public policy agenda.

Bloomington Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)
Meeting re: I-69

Event Description --
This is an important public hearing related to placing Interstate 69 back on the Bloomington MPO's list of projects. A significant presence of I-69 supporters is vital at this hearing, especially those who are willing to speak on behalf of the project and its inclusion on the Bloomington priority list. Business representatives standing united and advocating for the construction of the highway will be powerful. Please plan to attend, and please prepare notes for addressing the assembled leaders.

Each year, The Chamber hosts Southwest Indiana Day at the Statehouse. Attendees were given the opportunity to speak one-on-one with area state legislators, including Indiana State Senator Vaneta Becker.
