I-69 Advocacy Web Site Unveiled

The Hoosier Voices for I-69 coalition recently developed a new advocacy website to promote construction of the Interstate 69 project.  

As progress continues on the Indianapolis to Evansville extension of Interstate 69, Hoosier Voices hopes that individuals will utilize the new website www.buildi69.com to view updated information on the project and become active highway supporters via the website.  Through a blog-post format, the site enables posting of news, comments and pertinent information regarding the highway project.  The site also allows for individuals to sign up for a periodic e-newsletter and follow updates via Twitter.  

“Hoosier Voices for I-69 remains committed to  completion of the corridor and intends on promoting the benefits of the I-69 highway, as well as providing an interactive tool for individuals to stay updated and engaged in the process to make the highway a reality,” said Steve Schaefer, Executive Director of Hoosier Voices.  

Hoosier Voices for I-69 is a statewide advocacy organization with the primary focus of completing the Interstate 69 project in Indiana.  The organization is led by an Executive Director and a Board of Directors from across the state.  Over the past several years, Hoosier Voices has worked with local, state and federal officials to create a broad understanding of the importance of the highway to the state’s future economic growth and development, ensuring adequate funding for the highway is made available, and that the highway is built in a timely manner.
