Dickinson Family Chiropractic
The founders…
The Dickinson Family Chiropractic in Evansville has been delivering quality
chiropractic care to the Evansville Community since 2004.
Dr. Benjamin Dickinson and Dr. Deana Rehmel co-founded the
company located at 3101
North Green River Road in Evansville, IN.
Expansion…
The practice started off with a variety of Chiropractic services,
including treatment of headaches, disc injuries, neck and back pain, and
well as pediatric and pregnancy care.
Possessing that entrepreneurial spirit, the doctors continue to
desire to do even more.
When some additional space opened up next door, they decided to expand
to include physical therapy in among all their other services at the
same location. As a result,
they will increase their staff to include a physical therapist along
with an assistant.
Combining both chiropractic and physical therapy under one roof helps
deliver the quickest possible results.
“We truly believe that an integrated facility that addresses the
whole person with each practitioner working together are in the
patient’s best interest and will set us apart from being just a
Chiropractic office” stated Dr. Dickinson.
“While Chiropractic is at the core of our philosophy, we hope to
become the area’s first full service Health and Wellness Center.
Physical Therapy will be an excellent compliment to the services
we already provide at Dickinson Family Chiropractic.”
How did the SBDC help…
However, the biggest hurdles for this endeavor are cost and finding the
right person to work with their doctors and staff.
At a time when banks are tightening their belts, it became
apparent that they needed assistance when acquiring working capital for
the expansion. “The
Southwestern IN Small Business Development Center(SBDC) worked with our
accountant to get us the funds we need to get our Physical Therapy
department up and running.
At the same time, I was able to start a relationship with Sheryl Olivey
of the SBDC that has included assistance with an advertising program as
well as other business and financial aspects of being a small business
owner. Their help was
invaluable!” said Dr. Dickinson.
Working together for a greater
future…
“It is hard to emphasize the importance of having quality people within
our circle of influence.
Working with the right people striving for the same goal has made our
job easier and more complete.
From massage therapists to physical therapy to professional sound
business advice from the SBDC, I see a very bright future for Dickinson
Family Chiropractic and especially for our patients who continue to get
the best care possible.”
