Evansville Voted Best Place to Live by
Kiplinger's
The people have spoken and they say Evansville is the best place to live in the
country.
In July 2008,
Kiplinger’s magazine published its list of the 10 best cities.
The magazine then invited its readers to nominate and vote for
their favorite city.
Evansville
blew away the competition this year with more than 2,200 votes.
The second place city- Green Bay, Wisconsin-
only had 1,300 votes. As a
result, Evansville is being
highlighted today in a profile on Kiplinger.com.
There is a video tour of the city as well.

This is not the first time Evansville has been recognized by
Kiplinger’s.
We landed on the magazine’s “50 Smartest Places to Live” list in
2006. In order to compile
the 2006 list, Kiplinger’s
asked its readers what was most important to them when choosing a place
to live. Among the most
popular reasons were affordable housing, cost of living, quality of
life, education, quality health care, transportation and cultural
amenities. Kiplinger’s
cited Evansville’s
attractiveness to families as one of the biggest reasons it made the
list.
