Annual Events
The Chamber hosts over 85 events each year. For information about any Chamber

CNN
The Chamber Networking News (CNN) program is a fast-paced networking
session that is designed to allow participants the opportunity to create
awareness about their products and/or services and establish important
new business relationships. This program is conducted each Friday at
various Chamber-affiliated locations throughout the region. Each session
boasts an attendance of over 75 area business people.
Good Morning Tri-State Breakfast
Good Morning Tri-State Breakfasts are informative breakfast programs
held in order to educate, celebrate and network.

Annual Freedom Festival Kickoff Breakfast is
held each summer at Tri-State Aero. This is the formal kickoff to the
Freedom Festival’s weeklong schedule. There are over 300 people in
attendance at this community event.

Annual Holiday Champagne Brunch is held each
year in order for Chamber members to network before the holiday season
officially begins. This holiday gathering is the largest Good Morning
Tri-State event of the year, with over 350 Chamber members in
attendance. The Champagne Brunch is the perfect way to enjoy good food
and great company.
Report to the Business Community
These are intermittent gatherings held in order to educate
participants on key issues and initiatives affecting the business
climate.

Breakfast with Mayor Jonathon Weinzapfel
is an opportunity for Chamber members to hear the mayor’s thoughts
on economic development, revitalizing downtown and the future of
business in Evansville. Over 300 attendees gather for this event.

The Luncheon with Gov. Daniels is a
special “Report to the Business Community” that is hosted each year.
Over 300
business leaders attend the event to hear a legislative update from Gov.
Daniels.
Regional Business Trade Show
The RC/Chamber Tri-State Business EXPO is held each year at The Centre in Downtown Evansville.
The exhibit hall features 120 exhibitors showcasing their products,
services and capabilities to an audience of over 1,000 regional business
people. This is the perfect opportunity to learn about the newest, most
up-to-date services and equipment available right here in the Tri-State.
As attendees toured the exhibit hall, they were offered a sampling of
the Tri-State’s most popular cuisines. The day also includes an
informative keynote address.
The event is wrapped up with an EXPO Party in the
exhibit hall where Chamber members have the opportunity to network with
existing clients and establish important new business relationships, all
while enjoying a drink and delicious food.
Business Exchanges
Business Exchanges are monthly after-hours networking and business
showcasing events that offer Chamber members an excellent opportunity
to meet one-on-one with area business professionals, including business
owners and decision makers, while enjoying delicious food and drinks.
Business exchanges are held on the fourth Thursday of the month from
4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at different locations around Southwest

Chamber Night with the University of Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles
offers Chamber members a special ticket price, a VIP reception prior to
the game and a “pep talk” from USI Head Basketball Coach,
Rick Herdes.

Chamber Night with the University of Evansville Purple Aces
offers members a special ticket price, a VIP reception in “the
tunnel” prior to the game and a “pep talk” from UE
Head Basketball Coach, Marty Simmons.

Chamber Night at the Otters is
held each summer at Bosse Field. Last year, there were a
record-breaking 1,700 Chamber members in attendance at this game!
Chamber members are treated to special seating and dinner at this
exciting event.
The Inter-City Leadership Visit
is an opportunity for a delegation of over 50 community
leaders from Southwest Indiana to meet with another city’s
officials to discover more about that community’s facilities,
strategies, structures, innovations and challenges. Southwest Indiana
delegates meet with that city’s leaders to investigate such
topics as government unification, downtown development, economic
development, education and quality of life issues.
ATHENA Award
The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana continues to partner with A
Network of Evansville Women (ANEW) to present the ATHENA Award each
fall. The award, named after the Greek goddess of wisdom, recognizes
area women for their personal ideals, professional excellence and
assistance to other women in achieving their goals. The ATHENA Awards
are held during Today’s Woman Conference at The Centre in Downtown
Evansville.
Golf Outing
The Annual Toyota/Chamber Golf Outing is held the first Monday in May
each year at Chamber member golf courses. Golfers enjoy a nice day on
the links as well as a continental breakfast, a luncheon and an
afternoon cocktail reception where prizes were awarded for first, second
and third place; longest drive; closest to the pin; and hole-in-one. The
Toyota/Chamber Golf Outing always proves to be a great way to entertain
clients and network with area business people, while enjoying a relaxing
day on the course.
Chamber’s Candidate School
The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana hosts the Tri-State’s only
Candidate School each year at WNIN’s Historic Carpenter House in
Downtown Evansville. This non-partisan program provides participants
with the tools necessary to successfully run for office and a working
knowledge of the political process.
Chamber Day at the Statehouse
The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana hosts its annual Day at the
Statehouse each year to allow members the opportunity to meet one-on-one
with state legislators to discuss issues of importance to Southwest
Indiana, as well as the state as a whole, and observe legislative
debate. Over 65 business leaders participate in the event each year.
