Representation
The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana is the largest business
organization in the region, representing nearly 2,000 area businesses
and their employees.
We are only one of three chambers in the state of
Indiana to employ a full-time lobbyist at the state capital to be a
strong advocate on issues affecting our business community.
Our public policy committees tackle tough issues that impact the region’s economic vitality. The Chamber enters each legislative session with a set of Board-approved legislative priorities. And we make a difference. Recent victories include passage of legislation that will allow the construction of the 142-mile leg of Interstate 69 linking Southwest Indiana to Indianapolis- and beyond – to begin in the summer of 2008.
Relationships
The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana enjoys a broad range of relationships and partnerships with organizations throughout the region that are committed to planning for, and improving Southwest Indiana’s future.
Resource
The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana is an indispensable
resource for its members and the business community.
Return on Investment
The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana offers many different Member Benefit Programs that allow members the opportunity to recoup the cost of their original investment in the Chamber.

Regional Cooperation
The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana was created when the Metropolitan Evansville Chamber of Commerce and the Posey County Chamber of Commerce unified into one regional organization. The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana works closely on issues of regional importance with the Henderson/Henderson County Chamber of Commerce (located just across the Ohio River in Henderson, Kentucky), the Gibson County Regional Chamber of Commerce, and other similar community and economic development organizations from throughout the region. The Chamber has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Warrick County Chamber of Commerce that forges a closer working relationship between these organizations, as well. All efforts are being undertaken to ensure leaders are thinking and acting in a regional manner.
