Affinity Programs Committee
The Chamber’s Affinity Programs Committee is charged with introducing new “affinity”, or special member benefit programs to the membership.  The Affinity Programs Committee identifies targeted affinity programs, issues requests for proposals from appropriate Chamber-member firms, reviews proposals, makes recommendations to the Chamber’s Board of Directors regarding program adoption, assesses program performance, and makes recommendations to the Chamber’s Board of Directors regarding program continuance. Ambassador Committee
The Ambassador Committee serves as the official liaison between The Chamber’s staff and its members. Ambassadors welcome new members, facilitate ribbon cutting and ground breaking ceremonies, and serve as hosts at various Chamber functions.  This committee meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 8:00 a.m.  Contact:  Amy Back, Director of Membership & Investor Relations, Phone:  425.8147, E-mail:

Environmental Committee
The Environmental Committee is composed of technical and non-technical representatives from the business community who promote through advocacy and education the balancing of environmental protection and sustainable business growth.  Topics range from air and water quality, to industrial safety measures and emission control.  This committee meets the third Wednesday of each month at 11:30 a.m.  Contact:  Steve Schaefer, VP Public Policy, Phone:  421-5888, E-mail:

Government Affairs Committee
The Government Affairs Committee consists of individuals who work together to promote pro-business advocacy at all levels of government.  Each year they formulate policies on issues that affect business.  During election years, the committee works to inform other Chamber members about candidates’ positions on issues that affect business and industry.  At the local government level, the committee monitors budgets and issues to ensure a positive business climate.  This committee meets the third Friday of each month at 11:30 a.m.  Contact:  Steve Schaefer, VP Public Policy, Phone:  421.5888, E-mail:

Marketing Committee
The Marketing Committee guides The Chamber’s marketing efforts to ensure the organization is effectively communicating with members and potential members about the benefits of membership.  This committee meets on the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 a.m.  Contact:  Laurel Meny, Director of Marketing, Phone:  421.5886, E-mail:

Membership Committee
The Membership committee is charged with growing The Chamber membership base through the attraction of new members to the organization and the retention of existing members.  The committee also plans and executes the organization’s annual membership campaign.  It will also work with the Chamber’s Marketing Committee to help design a communication strategy that will effectively convey the value proposition of membership to the regional business community.  Contact:  Amy Back, Director of Membership & Investor Relations, Phone:  425.8147, E-mail:

Minority Business Owners Council
The Minority Business Owners Council connects The Chamber with minority business owners and the minority community, allowing The Chamber to identify the unique needs and challenges of minority business owners and the minority community.  The committee also helps The Chamber identify potential and emerging minority entrepreneurs and links them to the resources necessary to ensure their success.  The committee meets once a month.  Contact:  Matt Meadors, President & CEO, Phone:  425.8147, E-mail:

Transportation & Infrastructure Committee
The Transportation Committee works to promote transportation and infrastructure improvements that benefit the region and enhance economic growth.  The committee’s top priority is to ensure the construction of Interstate 69 linking Evansville to Indianapolis.  The committee monitors local and state planning and works with leaders to bring about changes in transportation policies.  This committee meets the fourth Friday of each month at 7:30 a.m.  Contact:  Steve Schaefer, VP Public Policy, Phone:  421.5888, E-mail:
